TN Gubernatorial seeking finance staff [Nashville, TN]

Karl Dean for Governor is seeking resumes for finance staff positions open in January 2018.

As a competitive, statewide race in Tennessee, we are seeking ambitious, hardworking individuals to join our finance team. We are looking for utility players who are ready to hit the ground running.

 

Deputy Finance Director

Responsibilities

·  Manage a portfolio of major fundraising events each quarter.

·  Work with the Finance Director to manage major donor outreach/strategy and candidate's finance schedule.

·  Supervise the work of finance assistants and department interns in call time prep and donor research projects.

·  Share with other senior level finance staff in handling staffing of the candidate as needed when he is traveling statewide

·  Personally solicit campaign contributions via direct phone solicitation

·  Executing various aspects of the finance plan, as determined by the Finance Director

Qualifications:

·   At least one cycle of campaign finance experience required

·   Call Time and event management experience strongly preferred

·   Knowledge of NGP software required

·   Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously preferred

·   Staffing experience strongly preferred

·   Excellent written and verbal communication skills

·   Access to reliable transportation required

·   Proficiency with Microsoft Office required

Finance Assistant

 Responsibilities

·   Work with finance team on upkeep and maintenance of campaign database, including donor information and extensive prospective donor research

·   Process daily contributions

·   Recruit and manage finance volunteers and interns 

·   Assist with prep for candidate call time

·   Assist in the planning and staffing of fundraising events

·   Make fundraising calls to donors for events and for direct solicitations 

·   Applicant may be asked to perform other campaign related activities 

Qualifications:

· Knowledge of NGP software highly preferred

· Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously preferred

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

· Access to reliable transportation required

· Proficiency with Microsoft Office required

Both positions are located in Nashville, TN. This job requires campaign hours, meaning the finance staff is expected to work over 40 hours a week. Salary is dependent upon qualifications. Benefits provided.
