Change to Win is seeking a Staff Attorney in New York City to provide cutting edge legal
strategy and support to campaigns that challenge America’s largest corporations to take
responsibility for how their business practices impact working families and their communities.
Staff Attorneys conduct legal research and develop strategy in a range of potential areas,
including corporate accountability, consumer protection, civil rights and
employment/workplace issues.
Change to Win is a dynamic coalition of North America’s most progressive labor unions and a
leading force for social, racial and economic justice in our country today.
Responsibilities include counseling leadership on legal and strategic issues related to
campaigns, researching and developing new legal theories, advocating to regulators for
enforcement action and rulemaking, and working with union affiliates, outside law firms and
other outside organizations. Qualified applicants will have a law degree and at least 4 years of
legal experience. Applicants should also have familiarity with the labor movement, a strong
commitment to worker’s rights, excellent research and writing skills, and the ability to drive
their own ideas and manage their own initiatives.
