Field Organizer

A targeted red-to-blue New York congressional campaign seeks full time organizers to join our team. This is a highly competitive race with a progressive candidate and is one of the DCCC’s top races this cycle. Field organizers are responsible for recruiting, training, and managing volunteers. Ideal candidates are self-motivated, tenacious individuals with a passion for advancing the progressive agenda who love to meet people.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to

• Recruiting and managing volunteers

• Training volunteers both one-on-one and in group settings

• Building and managing both canvassing and phone banking events

• Persuading voters to vote for the candidate

• Representing the campaign at events

• Meeting weekly voter contact and volunteer recruitment goals

Skills/Qualifications

• Exceptional problem solving skills

• Strong time management and organizational skills

• A love of organizing, politics, and people

• The ability to work both individually and with a team

• Prior organizing experience is desired but not required

• The willingness to work long, irregular hours

• Access to a working car, laptop, and cellphone
