Hampshire.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Press Secretary will manage, in collaboration with
senior staff and national communications staff, all in-state press activities.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- The
development, direction, and implementation of the NH press program
- Manage
relationships with and requests from local and national press outlets
- Write
talking points, op eds, statements, letters to the editor, and other copy
as needed
- Connect
on-the-ground organizing efforts with the larger media narrative and
implement pro-active earned media outreach.
- Monitor
media coverage in-state
- Provide
background briefings for senior staff and national staff
- Train
and guide other staff in communications best-practices and design communications
volunteer trainings
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Multiple
cycles of campaign communications experience
- Impeccable
written and verbal skills
- Strong
time management and multitasking skills
- Thorough
knowledge of electronic and print media systems
- Proven
track record of pro-active earned media outreach, maintaining good working
relationships with reporters and securing positive media coverage
- Willingness
to work long hours, including nights and weekends
- Ability to act and organize independently
- Strong
sense of discretion and personal accountability.
