Summary Description
The Data Director will report to the Executive Director and serve as a member of the Senior Staff. The Data Director will also work closely with Oklahoma Democratic Party staff and stakeholders to develop a comprehensive statewide data training program, administer the VoteBuilder (VAN) statewide, and analyze programs across departments to maximize efficiency and efficacy.
The Data Director will also maintain ODP’s NGP donor database. Additionally, the Data Director will work in conjunction with the Executive Director, State Treasurer and state’s Compliance Consultant to help develop a finance plan for the ODP in the 2016 Election Cycle.
The Data Director will be responsible for both long- term, ongoing projects and short-term assignments, and is expected to possess excellent time management and prioritization skills.

· Strong Excel skills, including data cleanup, standardization, and analysis
· Strong knowledge of VoteBuilder (VAN) and NGP as both a user and an administrator
· Experience training people from diverse backgrounds and at various skill levels
· Ability to communicate technical subjects to a wide audience in a clear, succinct manner
· Experience with data visualization and presentation
· Strong time management, prioritization, creative problem-solving, and communication skills
· Work with finance team on upkeep and maintenance of campaign database
· Perform extensive prospective donor research
· Assist in directing interns
· Prep for candidate call time; staff call time as needed
· Assist with drafting fundraising email and communications
Additional Skills & Qualifications - Ideal applicants will already possess one or more of these skills; all applicants should plan on developing these skills during the 2016 cycle.
· Ability to create voter and volunteer contact universes
· Ability to create and run clear, concise reports for staff at all levels to track the progress of programs
· Experience communicating through data, verbally and visually
· Experience training people with a wide variety of skill levels on technical subjects
· At least one cycle working/interning with an issue or electoral campaign, labor union, or nonprofit organization
· At least one election cycle working in Data, Field, or Finance
· SQL and/or Access proficiency
· Proficiency in Python, R, or other programming languages
· Proficiency in GIS, SPSS, or other data analysis tools
· Experience with digital analytics and digital platforms
· Experience with report automation
· Experience in fundraising for an electoral campaign or nonprofit organization
