Organizing Together 2020 is a coalition of organizations, organizers and activists working together to advance progressive issues and defeat President Trump. Organizing Together 2020 is a federal independent campaign that will build community based, volunteer driven, issue and electoral organizational capacity for the general election campaign. Organizing Together 2020 will organize early to build a robust organization ready to fully support a nominee for the general election. Organizing Together 2020 is hiring for a full-time Campaign Director to join our Arizona team. The Campaign Director will report directly to the State Director and work to both plan and implement programs to build the grassroots organization and operational infrastructure necessary to persuade and mobilize volunteers and voters in Arizona.

Responsibilities

• Oversee an organization focused on building capacity, engaging local activists, and increasing the on-the-ground capacity presence and stature. 
• Work with state director to develop a staffing plan and hiring timeline for Arizona.
• Works with state director on the development and implementation of programs, goals, and metrics of success.
• Manage in-state staff and members of leadership team as designated by state director.
• Create a solid admin infrastructure to support HR for a large team and to open and manage fully operational field offices across Arizona.
• Work with state director to oversee and manage state budget.
• Work to build community-based, volunteer-driven organizational capacity within their state for the general election campaign.

Requirements

• Have 3 to 5 years of campaign leadership experience
• Demonstrated understanding of political climate and issues of Arizona, and has experience managing statewide races in Arizona
• Ability to foster a cooperative, team-oriented work environment.
• Experience hiring large teams, developing a training program, and setting expectations and goals.
• Flexible and able to prioritize competing responsibilities
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills with a strong sense of urgency and the ability to work effectively under pressure;
• Ability to work in a high pressure environment.
• Candidates must be self-motivated and willing to work long hours, including nights and weekends as needed.
• Dedicated to working for Democratic candidates and causes.
