Position: Research and Communications Internship

Location: Philadelphia, PA

Position Summary:

The Research and Communications Departments are looking for talented, hard-working, energetic interns who are committed to re-electing Gov. Wolf and appreciate the important role that well-documented facts and clear communication play in running an effective and winning campaign. Interns will receive a first-hand experience with how a professional gubernatorial level campaign functions and will have the opportunity to network with other professionals in the political field. 

Responsibilities Include: 

Providing support to communications staff by: 

• Writing press releases and other communications materials
  
• Staffing and organizing press events and rallies
  
• Monitoring daily news
  
• Pitching press events
  
• Compiling and updating press lists
  

Providing support to research staff by: 

• Assisting in maintaining clips books
  
• Cataloging and transcribing video and audio footage 
  
• Assisting with research on state and local level policy issues
  
• Aiding in long-term research projects
  
• Conducting online research and examining public records
  
• Other research tasks as needed 
  

Qualifications and Requirements: 

• Initiative to work independently and follow through on all projects
  
• Highly detail oriented
  
• Strong research and writing skills
  
• An interest in and awareness of current political and policy issues
  
• Passion for campaigning and politics and a drive to help elect Democratic candidates
