Position: Research and Communications Internship
Location: Philadelphia, PA
Position Summary:
The Research and Communications Departments are looking for talented, hard-working, energetic interns who are committed to re-electing Gov. Wolf and appreciate the important role that well-documented facts and clear communication play in running an effective and winning campaign. Interns will receive a first-hand experience with how a professional gubernatorial level campaign functions and will have the opportunity to network with other professionals in the political field.
Responsibilities Include:
Providing support to communications staff by:
- Writing press releases and other communications materials
- Staffing and organizing press events and rallies
- Monitoring daily news
- Pitching press events
- Compiling and updating press lists
Providing support to research staff by:
- Assisting in maintaining clips books
- Cataloging and transcribing video and audio footage
- Assisting with research on state and local level policy issues
- Aiding in long-term research projects
- Conducting online research and examining public records
- Other research tasks as needed
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Initiative to work independently and follow through on all projects
- Highly detail oriented
- Strong research and writing skills
- An interest in and awareness of current political and policy issues
- Passion for campaigning and politics and a drive to help elect Democratic candidates
