American Progress has an immediate opening for an Advocacy Manager on the Poverty to Prosperity team. The Advocacy Manager will support the policy team by collaborating with national and local partner organizations, elected officials, the media, and other influencers to coordinate advocacy efforts and campaigns around the team’s policy priorities. The Advocacy Manager will also work with the editors and producers of the TalkPoverty blog and the weekly radio show at TalkPoverty.org to identify opportunities and strategies to advance solutions to cut poverty and boost opportunity. Finally, the Advocacy Manager will help develop a national network of low-income people and service providers who share their personal stories with American Progress in order to take action on the Center’s priorities.
