About the Role:

Our Junior Content and Design Associate will be responsible for facilitating graphic design components of client services, including website updates, logo designs, social media graphics, and occasional planned and rapid-response email and social media content for our clients' activism and online fundraising needs. Our Content and Design Associate will work closely with our Vice President | Creative to deliver high-quality written, web-based and graphic design content for our clients’ needs.

In one day, you may be drafting creative digital display advertisements for environmental protections in Colorado, incorporating client feedback on logo designs for a school board race in Ohio, and creating social media graphics for a congressional candidate’s end-of-quarter drive in California after that. What you’ll do:

• Graphic Design: logos, social media graphics, digital advertisements, etc
• Email Writing: fundraising, action alerts, member engagement and more
• Social Media Copy: unique, platform-specific content that engages and inspires
• Website Edits: utilize our drag and drop CMS to adjust or update client website content
• Ensure projects are completed on time and on-spec every time
• Coordinate creative direction for clients and maintain brand guidelines
• Prioritize and manage multiple projects within design specifications and budget restrictions
• Work with a wide range of media and use graphic design software

About You:

Qualifications:

• Preferred: Minimum of one cycle of agency, campaign or non-profit experience, preferably in a Graphic Design, Digital, or Communications role; applicable internship or fellowship experience is acceptable
• Required: Bachelors Degree or 2-4 years of equivalent professional experience
• Exceptional graphic design skills with an eye for a clean, modern aesthetic; mastery of Adobe Creative Cloud software such as Photoshop and Illustrator, as well as internet-based software such as Canva Pro. 
• Working understanding of basic video editing and production techniques, such as within Adobe Premiere, Adobe Rush or comparable software. 
• Understanding of effective best practice web design strategies; extensive prior usage of drag-and-drop CMS editor tools (i.e. Wix, Duda, WP); basic to mid-level knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript coding.
• Demonstrated writing skills that can be effectively utilized across email, social media, and text messaging platforms for the purpose of evoking action from a target audience.
• Basic understanding of targeted campaign tactics and layered communication strategies, including within the context of campaign field and digital engagement strategies.
• Well-organized, professional, and responsive; Consistently meets tight deadlines 
• Self-motivated, tenacious, confident, independent and strong attention to detail.

Bonus Points to Applicants with the Following Traits:

• Prior successful experience working remotely or in a non-traditional office setting
• Prior experience with campaign and/or small business branding and image development, especially in interpreting and translating client needs and wants into a beautiful end-product.
• Prior experience utilizing and managing numerous ongoing tasks in a Project Management software
