Talent Acquisition Specialist (Contract)

The Talent Acquisition Team has an opportunity for a Talent Acquisition Specialist (Contract). Reporting to the Director of Talent Acquisition, the Talent Acquisition Specialist will be responsible for consistently meeting monthly metrics by placing candidates in open positions across the National office. This person will be responsible for actively recruiting and identifying talented and diverse candidates using non-traditional recruitment strategies, consistently providing feedback to hiring managers, and proactively anticipating challenges in searches while leveraging existing networks and building new networks to increase organizational opportunity awareness in addition to a stronger candidate pipeline.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Recruit talent who exhibit organizational values and the required skillset for open positions for PPFA at the National level - ability to handle 30+ open positions at once.
Actively builds talent pool by researching and contacting community services, colleges, and internet sites that include social media sites; providing organization information, opportunities, and benefits; making presentations; maintaining rapport with viable talent.
Conducts virtual and in-person interviews with viable applicants; analyzing responses; comparing qualifications to job requirements.
Conducts reference and background checks as needed to assist with hiring process.
Regularly connect with hiring managers to understand divisional talent needs.
Go above and beyond to understand where to find the best talent for each division by tapping into industry specific events and promote forward thinking recruitment tactics
Connect to diverse candidates and understand candidate preferences in employers that allows for more insight into the talent pool.
Provide regular updates on open requisitions before managers inquire about status of job.
For hard to fill roles, partner with hiring manager to discuss additional strategies for identifying talent.
Work harmoniously with team members to move organizational Human Resource objectives and goals forward.
Join new relevant organizations and attend networking events often.
EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s degree required
PERSONAL QUALITIES/OTHER ATTRIBUTES:
Must be familiar with Planned Parenthood and support its mission.
Professional in approach and ability to work in a fast paced environment
Amiable and approachable with a can-do attitude
Strong work ethic and sense of urgency to fill open requisitions
Organized and able to self manage
Familiar with non-profit organizations and structure
Open to regular feedback and willingness to adapt according to business needs

Commitment to working to achieve organizational objectives
TECHNICAL SKILLS/ EXPERTISE:
3+ years of recruitment experience preferred - Experienced with full cycle recruitment and general recruitment strategies with proven track record of success
The ideal candidate will come from a nonprofit, advocacy, or organizing/campaigning background.
Connected with active pipelines that demonstrate proven ability to recruit diverse talent
Familiar with in-house recruitment
Proven track record for recruiting at all levels for non-profit roles related to organizing, advocacy, and electoral campaigns, public policy and communications a plus
Experience with applicant tracking systems
