Description & Details

Recruit, train, activate and schedule volunteers to make contacts within the community.  Implement activities including, but not limited to, phonebanks, door-to-door canvassing and voter registration.  Working independently and with fellow staff and volunteers, successful candidates will execute the following duties:

 

•    Use various recruitment techniques to bring new volunteers into the party, including cold calling, community outreach and hosting events.

•    Identify and train volunteers.  

•    Build volunteer teams to extend volunteer recruitment and voter registration projects.

•    Plan and host events that engage new volunteers.

•    Organize and manage volunteer phone banks and voter registration events.

•    Provide materials for direct voter registration and volunteer engagement, i.e.,

turfs, walk lists, scripts and VR materials.  

 

Mandatory qualifications include:

•    1-2 years experience working with political campaigns and/or organizations.

•    Good interpersonal skills and enjoy working with others.  

•    Self-starter with initiative.

•    Excellent written and oral communication skills.

•    Ability to delegate effectively.  

•    Organizational skills including ability to multi-task and prioritize.

•    Attention to detail.

•    Excellent computer skills.  

•    Flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
