Local Voter Engagement Program Seeking Interns

 

Learn the ins and outs of campaign management while working on a unique voter registration program. Develop your data analysis skills by tracking program and staff performance, and making strategic recommendations. Additionally, you will aide in community outreach and event logistics.

 

You will report directly to the Lead Organizer and Program Assistant, and learn voter engagement strategies from a group of trained organizers.

Transportation stipend included. 

 

When is it:

This internship is from August, 2015 to November 15, 2015.

 

What you’ll gain:

 

      Knowledge about San Francisco elections

      Hands-on campaign experience

      Organizing, planning, and messaging strategies

      Valuable relationships in San Francisco politics, nonprofits, and small businesses

 

What you’ll do:

 

      Research on where to find voters and best practice on how to engage them.

      Manage program performance metrics.

      Conduct outreach to community partners, small businesses, and other relevant organizations. Aide in analyzing performance and creating weekly goal numbers and reports.

      Plan event logistics

 

Who you are:

 

      Passionate about using data to run better campaigns and grassroots organizing

      Familiar with Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets

      Comfortable handling large amounts of data

      Organized and detail oriented

      Interested in people-centered, metrics-driven work

      Flexible and self-motivated
