Field Director Job Description
The campaign will focus on turning out Democratic votes in the 2018 Primary Election. The focus will be on building a grassroots coalition. The campaign promotes a progressive candidate and values through grassroots action.
Field Organizer Position Summary
Field Organizers are responsible for building a political network and executing our strategy to win targeted precincts throughout Baltimore City. Organizers will report to the Campaign manager.
Job responsibilities include:
• Implementing the field plan;
• Developing relationships with key community leaders, opinion leaders, and coalitions to build our base of support in the City;
• Recruiting, and managing volunteers, activists, to participate in grassroots activities such as door-to-door, phone banking and early voting to persuade and turn out voters for the 2010 elections;
• Generating public awareness and support by engaging with new, grassroots, and social media.
Staffing the candidate at a variety of community events
Job Qualifications
Candidates should possess one cycle of previous field organizing experience, a strong commitment to Democratic issues, grassroots organizing, excellent personal, verbal and written communication skills, and the flexibility and temperament to work in a fast-paced, constantly changing political environment.
