Beto For America is the team working to build a grassroots movement and win the Democratic nomination for president. Our campaign will be positive, and it will be powered by volunteers. This is a campaign by all of us for all of us. Our staff will not just focus on the traditional battleground states. We’re offering meaningful volunteer roles for people wherever they are -- from Alaska to Puerto Rico. Ideal candidates have previous data experience, excel at multi-tasking, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and are passionate about being members of the Beto For America team.
The position is a good fit for someone with at least one cycle of
past political data experience, or someone with several years of
experience in a business intelligence role in another type of
organization. The positions report to state directors, with a dotted
line to the national data director. Candidates must have at least a high
school diploma or equivalent. State data directors are responsible for
overseeing deputy data directors and/or data associates. They provide
state directors, organizing directors, and others with insights based on
campaign programs in their state. They have previous experience in data
roles
on campaigns and/or in business intelligence roles at other organizations.
Skills & Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of SQL.
- The ability to clearly and effectively communicate technical information to non-technical people.
- At least some experience with Tableau or similar business intelligence products.
- At least beginner’s knowledge of JavaScript, Python, or similar scripting
- languages.
- At least some past experience managing staff and technical projects.
- At least introductory knowledge of field/organizing programs.
