Mariko Yamada is an experience civil servant running an energetic, grassroots campaign in State Senate District 3 (all or parts of Yolo, Solano, Sonoma, Napa, Sacramento, and Contra Costa Counties). Our campaign is looking for a talented and experienced Local Fundraising Director to manage in district fundraising, increase our donor base and manage our donor database. Experience on campaigns, or in fundraising is preferred.

 

Responsibilities include:

-Organizing and raising money from donors in the district

-Cultivating our donor base by identifying people and organizations that would ally with us

-Managing Call-Time

-Managing some Field & Volunteer Organizing plans on a limited basis, and as needed

-Staffing Candidate as Needed

  

Skills & Experience:

- One cycle of fundraising experience on a campaign or with another organization is prefered

- Proficient with Microsoft Office. Experience with PDI preferred but not required

-Exceptional written and oral communications skills, organizational skills and interpersonal skills

-Ability to prioritize assignments and work on both team and individual projects. Proven record of working independently is a plus.

-Self-starter, highly-motivated, willingness and ability to take initiative and follow-through.

-Ability to demonstrate professionalism and patience in a high-pressure, fast-pace environment.
