Finance Director, 2018 Southern California Congressional Campaign

Progressive challenger's campaign in 2018 U.S. House race in Southern California is seeking a finance director to begin Q2 2017.

Duties:

•     Develop and implement the campaign's comprehensive finance plan.
•     Set quarterly, monthly, and weekly fundraising goals.
•     Identify and research new donor prospects and opportunities.
•     Research existing donors and follow up on pledges as necessary.
•     Draft campaign solicitations, scripts, and thank-you notes.
•     Solicit contributions.
•     Staff the candidate at fundraisers as necessary.
•     Work with campaign treasurer to ensure FEC compliance.
•     Eventually, build and manage campaign's finance staff.

Qualifications:

•     At least one cycle of fundraising experience preferred.
•     Knowledge of all aspects of a successful campaign fundraising operation.
•     Strong communication, time management, and organizational skills.
•     Proficiency in NGP and Excel.
•     Willingness to handle all finance-related tasks, including managing call time, until the campaign staff expands.
•     High attention to detail.
•     Ties to progressive groups would be a nice-to-have.
