Progressive challenger's campaign in 2018 U.S. House race in Southern California is seeking a finance director to begin Q2 2017.
Duties:
- Develop and implement the campaign's comprehensive finance plan.
- Set quarterly, monthly, and weekly fundraising goals.
- Identify and research new donor prospects and opportunities.
- Research existing donors and follow up on pledges as necessary.
- Draft campaign solicitations, scripts, and thank-you notes.
- Solicit contributions.
- Staff the candidate at fundraisers as necessary.
- Work with campaign treasurer to ensure FEC compliance.
- Eventually, build and manage campaign's finance staff.
Qualifications:
- At least one cycle of fundraising experience preferred.
- Knowledge of all aspects of a successful campaign fundraising operation.
- Strong communication, time management, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in NGP and Excel.
- Willingness to handle all finance-related tasks, including managing call time, until the campaign staff expands.
- High attention to detail.
- Ties to progressive groups would be a nice-to-have.
