Field Director - Mo Cheeks for Mayor (Madison, WI)

The Mo Cheeks for Mayor campaign is seeking a Field Director to manage the field operations of a historic mayoral race in Madison, Wisconsin. This Field Director will add strength to an existing campaign team, and reports to the Campaign Manager. The spring election includes a competitive primary on February 19, 2019.

Responsibilities include (but not limited to)

• Overseeing a citywide grassroots engagement program

• Writing and implementing a data-driven primary field plan

• Consistently meet or exceed voter contact & volunteer outreach targets

• Engaging networks to establish a volunteer base throughout the city

• Recruiting and training for volunteer canvasses, phone banks, and community gatherings to build support for Mo Cheeks for Mayor

• Managing and motivating volunteers and interns

Required Skills & Background

• Previous campaign experience desired.

• Knowledge of  VAN/Votebuilder required.

• Knowledge of Madison’s political landscape.

• Exceptionally well organized.

• Metrics & results oriented.

• Positive attitude.

• Willingness to work long hours, including nights and weekends when necessary

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet established deadlines.

• Access to transportation and a cell phone

• Familiarity with voter texting platforms is a plus.  

Salary is commensurate with experience.
