Job Responsibilities
Field Organizers report to the Field Director and are responsible for:
- Recruiting, training, and supervising volunteers from diverse backgrounds
- Organizing voter contact efforts
- Building and maintaining relationships with community leaders
- Positively representing the ODP and Democratic candidates
- Maintaining accurate data by utilizing tools like NGP VAN
Required Skills & Traits
We are seeking candidates who are organized and excel in relationship building and taking initiative. You should have:
- A valid driver's license and full-time access to an insured vehicle
- A track record of strong working relationships with diverse individuals
- Experience working across lines of difference and proven ability to acknowledge privilege
- A demonstrated ability to give and receive direction
- The proven ability to remain organized in a changing environment
- Experience taking initiative and being a self-starter
Preferred Skills & Traits
Candidates with the following skills and traits are preferred:
- Experience using VAN
- Experience volunteering or working on a political campaign
