We are looking for a Major Donor Mobilization Manager to assist the Finance team in planning and executing an online fundraising strategy for finance donors. The Major Donor Mobilization Manager is responsible for maintaining a best-in-class experience for DNC Finance donors. This position will be responsible for the online component of finance donors’ DNC experience. The ideal candidate for the position has experience in major donor fundraising. This position reports to the Finance Chief of Staff, and will collaborate with multiple departments throughout the Committee to build an exceptional online experience for our finance donors.
Responsibilities include:
Acting as a digital advisor to the Finance department and serving as a liaison between the Finance and Mobilization departments.
Managing all email programs catering to major finance donors and prospective finance donors, including but not limited to email fundraising materials, graphic design, video, social, events, and SMS.
Managing an email calendar and ensuring complicated initiatives are executed correctly.
Creating and executing digital project plans for major fundraising events such as the IWillVote Galas, LGBTQ Gala, Women’s Leadership Forum, and more.
Perform other duties as assigned.
About you:
Ideal candidate will be a team player, fast learner, and self-starter; you are willing to work hard to get the job done.
Has the ability to work independently and on a team; the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in digital fundraising or major donor fundraising.
Experience using Blue State Digital, Action Network, or Silverpop strongly preferred.
Understanding of what compels supporters to donate to the Democratic Party
Understanding of key acquisition channels (email, social media, SMS, etc.).
Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to work and communicate effectively with donors, staff, and consultants.
Must be in D.C. or be willing to relocate to the Washington, D.C. area.
