ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION
CODE2040 is a nonprofit organization that creates pathways to educational, professional, and entrepreneurial success in technology for underrepresented minorities with a specific focus on Blacks and Latino/as. CODE2040 aims to close the achievement, skills, and wealth gaps in the United States. Our goal is to ensure that by the year 2040 - when the US will be majority-minority - Blacks and Latino/as are proportionally represented in America's innovation economy as technologists, investors, thought leaders, and entrepreneurs.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We’re on a search for a highly organized, relationship-minded, systems-oriented professional with a knack for event planning and program management. The Alumni Coordinator will cultivate relationships and steward the growth of our alumni network. You will be uniquely positioned as the leverager of a vibrant and dynamic community.
In a nutshell, you will be the driver of three key functions:
1) coordinating ongoing alumni events and programming,
2) serving as the point CODE2040 resource for alumni and
3) creating new tracking systems and operations.
THESE RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE...
- Assisting in the planning, implementation, and promotion of programs that provide tangible benefits for our alumni.
- Outreaching to various partners and alums to secure alumni programming.
- Supporting the planning and implementation of workshops for alumni.
- Working cross-functionally to create and share resources and opportunities that would be of interest to our alumni.
- Seeking out new opportunities to help prepare alumni to be technology leaders and innovators.
- Coordinating volunteer teams within the alumni community.
- Collaborating with the team to create and maintain pathways for alumni participation.
- Engaging regularly with alumni via direct contact, email blasts, alumni newsletters, and various social media platforms.
- Tracking and reporting alumni involvement in community activities.
- Assisting in the evaluation of activities, programs, and services that reach, serve, and engage our alumni.
- Ensuring accurate and complete alumni database records.
- Collaborating with the team to build systems to allow the organization to be more efficient.
