Position Summary
Progressive Turnout Project seeks Midwest Field Director for the 2018 election
cycle. The Midwest Field Director will work with the National Field Director and other Regional Field Directors to analyze 2016 election results
and develop organizing objectives for the 2018 election cycle. As organizing
objectives become clear, Midwest Field Director and other Regional Field
Directors will be responsible for designing and executing a turnout plan for
their region, hiring and managing field staff, and tracking all quantitative and
qualitative field metrics.
Progressive Turnout Project is headquartered in Northbrook, Illinois, but
Regional Field Directors may work remotely from their home with some travel
required.
Qualifications
- At least one cycle of field experience (preferably as Field Director,
Regional Field Director, or equivalent organizing experience)
- Experience hiring, training, and managing a team
- Commitment to establishing a culture of community and respect
- Passion for electing Democratic candidates
- Knowledge of field targeting and metrics
- Organizational skills and ability to meet goals and strict deadlines
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in VAN, Microsoft Office, and Google Docs
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with PTP’s National Field Director to analyze 2016
results and develop organizing objectives for the 2018 cycle
- Design and execute a turnout plan for region
- Hire, train, and manage field staff for region
- Manage political relationships in region
- Monitor progress, benchmarks, and deliverables in region
