We are hiring a short-term Distribution Coordinator to support the launch of our upcoming short film, Message from a Pandemic. The film is created by the production team behind A Message from the Future with Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, and imagines the world we could build out of the disaster of COVID-19. The Distribution Coordinator will report to our Senior Manager of Communications, and work with organizations around the world to organize a global launch event around the project in July 2020.
About the Job
The Distribution Coordinator is responsible for organizing a successful global launch for Message from a Pandemic. In July 2020, the film will be released worldwide in multiple languages, with dozens of partners from around the globe.
This role requires strong organizational skills and requires previous experience organizing online events, working with video across platforms, and connections to a range of international organizations. Strong written and spoken English is a must; multilingualism is an asset but not required. The role includes:

Position Type: Full-time, 6-7 weeks.

Start Date: As soon as possible
End Date: With project launch, estimated mid-July 2020.
Compensation: $10,000 CAD (candidates in Canada) / USD (U.S. or global candidates), flat in installments.
Location: Remote from any time zone from UTC -7 to UTC +1 (check yours here). Access to a computer with camera, phone and reliable internet are a must.
