Petition Director needed in NYC borough-wide

Position Description

The Petition Director will report to the campaign manager. Prior experience running a petitioning operation in New York City is required. 

Duties and Responsibilities

·  Oversee all aspects of petitioning

·  Post petition canvasser job listing, interview, and hire petition canvassers 

·  Work with existing field team to identify and train volunteers 

·  Practice petitioning best practices to verify signature authenticity 

Qualifications

·  MUST have experience operating a petitioning drive  

·  Experience with training volunteers on signature collection best practices

·  Experience conducting large volume of interviews and processing new hire paperwork 

·  Experience in a fast-paced campaign atmosphere

·  Commitment to progressive movement and ideals

This is a temporary position that will last through the petitioning period in New York City (Beginning early June-Mid July). Exceptional applicants will receive an offer to stay on the team through the primary and general election.
