POSITION SUMMARY:  

The mission of the new Mobilization Department at the Democratic National Committee is to bring ordinary people into the heart of the DNC and provide Americans with encouragement, power, and tools to mobilize in their communities. We organize in all 3,413 counties across the country, through the state parties and from the grassroots, and we seek to impact down-ballot races and build the Democratic resistance to the corrupt, dangerous Trump-Republican agenda.

RESPONSIBILITIES:  

  • Manage an advanced analytics program for the DNC’s Mobilization Team. Ensure that our approach to online fundraising, mobilization, and GOTV programs is data-driven
  • Execute real-time experiments and optimizations to improve our mobilization content
  • Collect and analyze data including but not limited to: donation data, voter file data, email messaging statistics, web traffic and user behavior
  • Ensure accurate targeting of all mobilization campaigns
  • Work with data staff in the DNC technology department to build and deploy build predictive models that make our work more effective
  • Develop fundraising and mobilization best practices and make recommendations to senior leadership
  • Fix our data systems when it breaks       
  • Use data analysis to inform mobilization strategy
  • Supervise the work of data analysts

 

ABOUT YOU:  

  • 6+ years of experience in data and modeling
  • Understanding of statistical methodologies and statistical programming languages such as SQL, R, Python, STATA
  • Be able to explain our analytics and testing programs to non-technical stakeholders
  • Excellent communication skills
