SUMMARY:

NextGen Climate is currently seeking an administrative assistant with a strong work ethic, combined with a vast set of skills and experiences. This particular role is critical in supporting one of our major principals who leads a variety of entities and efforts related to climate change, advanced energy, sustainable food systems, and socially responsible finance.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage appointments, travels, documents, onsite and offsite meetings, and correspondences
• Proactively and independently handle day-to-day administrative operational matters for our principals
• Execute tasks involving a high level of organization and attention to detail
• Support with tracking projects and related deadlines
• Assist in planning events
• Manage contacts through Salesforce
• Identify areas for improvement; streamline processes and procedures
• Maintain up-to-date expense reporting
• Cover reception as needed
• Other relevant administrative tasks as needed

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED: 

• 2+ years of experience in an administrative role
• Highly organized with an attention to detail
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field to beneficial banking, food systems, energy policy, and/or politics preferred
• Event planning experience a plus
• Comfortable working collaboratively in a team environment
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced workplace
• Strong writing skills
• High level of discretion and confidentiality required
