David Buchwald is an Assemblyman running for Congress in New York’s 17th Congressional District. A proven progressive, Buchwald has passed more progressive legislation than any candidate running for Congress in NY-17, such as the country’s toughest gun control law, New York’s version of the Green New Deal, defending a woman’s right to choose, and writing the law allowing the U.S. Congress to obtain Donald Trump’s New York tax returns. He’s running for Congress because this is no time for on the job training. We need leaders with a real track record in Washington to fight and win on the issues that matter most to us.

Fellowship Goals:

While maintaining responsible health practices, we will develop an innovative program to turn out the vote in the era of social distancing. Fellows will do work in voter mobilization, voter persuasion, data entry and analysis, as well as other more specialized projects.

Ideal fellow:

A high school or college student with an interest in learning about politics, starting a career in politics, or developing their resume. 

Time Commitment:

5-10 hours a week with leadership opportunities available for those ready to commit more time.
