Finance Director, Congressional Campaign, Southeastern Pennsylvania (Suburban Philadelphia Area)

Start Date:  July 1, 2017 or sooner

 

Progressive Congressional Candidate in a highly competitive suburban Philadelphia district seeks a finance director.  The finance director will work closely with the candidate, campaign manager, finance consultant  and finance committee to meet the financial goals of the campaign. Applicants with prior experience in fundraising preferred but all are encouraged to apply.  Candidates should be  highly organized, outgoing and willing to push the candidate and campaign  toward meeting their fundraising goals.   Qualified candidates will have strong writing skills, experience with NGP, VAN, ActBlue and be proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.  Candidates should also be ready and willing to work long hours/weekends and manage multiple tasks at any given time. This position requires candidate to  relocate through November 2018 to Southeastern PA and have their own vehicle and valid driver's license. .   Ideal candidates will also have a commitment towards the Progressive Movement.

 

Day to Day Responsibilities Include:

• Staffing candidate during call time and meetings and preparing call time reports

• Donor research and call sheet preparation

• Assisting campaign manager in execution of finance plan

• Working closely with Finance Consultant in setting up fundraisers and donor meetings

• Composing communications from the Finance Team to donors

• Oversight of all financial aspects of the campaign including depositing and accounting of funds and compliance coordination with the committee's treasurer.

• Recruiting and managing finance volunteers
