JVP (our 501c3) and JVP Action (our 501c4) are building a multiracial, intergenerational movement of Jews and allies working towards justice and equality in Israel/Palestine by transforming U.S. policy. We draw strength from over half a million supporters, 70 chapters, and decades of organizing for freedom and dignity in Israel/Palestine and the US. We’re mapping out a path for Palestinian rights to become a core part of the progressive agenda, we’re fighting for freedom for all people, and we’re writing a new chapter of Jewish life.

The Development Senior Manager will lead the vision, strategy and implementation of JVP’s innovative, cutting-edge grassroots fundraising program--raising an annual budget of over $4 million. JVP’s development model integrates fundraising, grassroots organizing, and strategic communications, so the Development Senior Manager must be fluent in both a wide range of grassroots development strategies--major donors, foundations, online fundraising, and direct mail--and also in talking about JVP’s work--our theory of change, campaigns and programs.

This job is about meeting the unique matrix of opportunity and challenge in this political and organizational moment.  Our fundraising model is accountable to a wide, politically engaged membership base, which allows us to maintain absolute integrity in our political work. Individual donors make up 90% of our organizational income and we have an average gift of $60.  We have a team of talented, experienced fundraising professionals and a broader team of over 70 staff, board members, and member leaders. Together, we build connections with our donors that are multi-dimensional and enduring, we treat fundraising as an organizing skill, and we use a data-driven approach.

The ideal candidate for this position will be someone who builds authentic relationships everywhere they go and is creative, collaborative, and passionate. They will be eager to grow with the organization as we scale our political work, and the fundraising program to support it. The will bring a depth of knowledge and experience in development, grounded in a commitment to grassroots movements for justice.
