Small Democratic
fundraising firm in Washington, DC is seeking an Office Manager/Finance
Assistant to manage a 5-7 client portfolio. Clients include Members of Congress
and political candidates. Key responsibilities are as follows:
- Manages physical office to maintain
professional image and coordinates office schedules and manages the use of
office space.
- Maintains company files,
bookkeeping, and client invoicing;
- Works to maintain all office
equipment such as computers, copiers, fax machines, etc.; assists in any
equipment troubleshooting; and coordinates repair with the necessary parties

Maintain
the NGP donor database and other fundraising tools by tracking pledges,
processing checks, updating lobbyist contact information, and entering relevant
notes from client call time.
- Run
miscellaneous errands as needed (picking up lunch, going to the post
office, making bank deposits, etc.).
- Communicating with restaurants on menus and
attendee numbers. Prior to event days, compile attendee lists, create name
tags, and prepare all necessary materials for the event.

Responsible for contributions received for
campaigns. This includes collecting checks, processing contributions after
events, maintaining and updating money trackers for each client, and
distributing contributions to their respective campaigns.
- Track and collect outstanding pledges in order
to ensure that clients meet their quarterly goals.
An ideal candidate should possess:
- 1+ years of
relevant experience
- A working knowledge of the NGP database
- Strong interpersonal skills and a sense of humor
- A strong and proactive work ethic and extreme attention
to detail
- Excellent multi-tasking skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
