Position: Tracking
Director
Location: Washington, DC
American Bridge 21st Century, a
progressive research and communications organization dedicated to holding
Republicans accountable for their words and actions, is hiring a Tracking
Director to oversee the organization's largest department.
In this capacity, the director will oversee
a team of more than 20 staff based in Washington, DC and across the country.
This department represents the heart of American Bridge's work.
A successful candidate will be able to
effectively manage a large staff in a way that can help the organization best
weaponize our tracking footage in order to have the maximum electoral impact.
Responsibilities include:
- Setting and managing work plans
and priorities for tracking staff.
- Ensuring priorities from other
departments are properly communicated to staff across the country.
- Managing the flow of external
communications as it relates to our tracking program, including
interfacing with partners and allied organizations with respect to all
field staff's work.
- Managing, delegating, and staying
organized in a fast-paced environment where collaboration is a key to
success.
Additional responsibilities include:
- Teaming with directors across
programs about priorities and resource allocation.
- Providing logistical support
for deputies and staff across the country.
- Cultivating a culture of
collaboration and camaraderie in the face of challenges that relate to
managing staff not working out of the state.
- Identifying opportunities to
creatively package our tracking footage to make sure it has the most
impact.
- Training partners on our video
collection system.
- Delegating partner rapid response
requests.
- Assisting with opposition research
as requested.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- 5-6 years of work experience in
political organizations or campaigns, issue-advocacy organizations, or
related non-profits. Prior experience with field organizations, project
management and video editing preferable.
- Strong commitment to teamwork
with a proven track record.
- Strong political instincts
and the ability to identify opportunities to have an electoral impact in
targeted state and federal races.
- A high level of judgment and
discretion with confidential information.
- A great sense of humor and
creativity.
- Enjoy working closely with others
of diverse backgrounds and personalities.
- Ability to meet long- and
short-term deadlines, and the understanding that this is not a
typical 9-5 job.
