AAPI Community Engagement Organizer Job Description
The Minnesota Democratic-Farmer-Labor (DFL) Party is hiring a full-time Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Community Engagement organizer for the 2020 cycle. The AAPI Community Engagement Organizer will report directly to the Political Program Director. This position is based in St.Paul, Minnesota but the organizer will spend much of their time in the field.
The AAPI Community Engagement Organizer will work closely with grassroots community leaders, local elected officials, and partner organizations to empower, engage and mobilize AAPI Minnesotans election with a particular emphasis on Minnesota’s Hmong community. The ideal candidate will be an innovative thinker with ties to Minnesota’s AAPI communities and experience organizing in an electoral context. The person in this position must not only be a strategic planner but must be willing to work side by side with volunteers to execute grassroots strategies in the field.

Compensation: Salary commensurate with experience. Employees of the DFL are paid on a bi-weekly basis and receive a competitive benefits package including health care and dental.
