Canvassers Needed - Southampton, NY

Advocacy campaign in Southampton, New York seeks paid canvassers for community outreach.

Canvassers must be able to articulate the message and successfully engage residents in dialog.

Canvassers will work approximately four hour shifts and earn a minimum of $20 per hour. 

Familiarity with the area is required. 

Responsibilities

· Effectively communicate the message / issue one-on-one to community members

· Understand and articulate the broader concepts related to the message / issue

· Completely and accurately record data manually and/or electronically

      - Ability to use a tablet and smart phone accurately 

      - Canvass door-to-door

Qualities and Abilities Required

· Canvassers must have excellent communication skills

· Canvassers must be skilled at engaging community members in conversation

· Canvassers must work well in a team and be flexible and adaptive to changing conditions

· Canvassers must be able to operate data collection systems
