Member and Training Coordinator
Our Revolution, the organization carrying on the legacy of the Bernie 2016 presidential campaign, is seeking a talented individual to serve as the organization’s Member and Training Coordinator. Ideal candidates will be wholly committed to the organization’s mission of creating a more socially, environmentally, economically, and racially equitable nation through winning key progressive victories, and will be comfortable in a fast-paced work environment. Additionally, they will exhibit a “not me, us” attitude, working as a team to achieve the common goal.
Summary
As Our Revolution’s organizing program grows, so does our drive to meet the needs of our 500 growing local groups. Our Revolution’s Member and Training Coordinator ensures effective communication with, and training of the Our Revolution grassroots base. The Member and Training Coordinator will conduct Our Revolution monthly member conference calls, as well as work with senior staff to develop and implement national trainings for our network of Groups, Members and Volunteers. The Member and Training Coordinator will play a key role in growing our movement, strengthening our groups, and empowering our members.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Lead the development and implementation of Our Revolution’s training and volunteer coordination, focusing on our 500 decentralized local groups, members, and activist leaders.
- Coordinate one major pillar of Our Revolution's organizing department, specifically around research and party building.
- Ensure top down and bottom up communication and messaging between volunteers and executive staff.
- Design curriculum and agenda for Our Revolution trainings and workshops that meet the needs of Our Revolution Members and Groups.
- Build relationships with Our Revolution local groups to better understand the needs of members and groups.
Skills
- At least 1.5 years experience in a grassroots organizing and training.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, including technical communication
- Experience with public speaking, scheduling, coordinating, and leading large conference calls
- Demonstrated experience organizing and designing workshops/trainings, including designing and facilitating training for trainers
Strong time management skills and ability to juggle multiple projects at one time - Strong relationship building skills including conflict resolution, volunteer development, and network building.
- Ability to think strategically and lead a volunteer team
Salary - $50,000
