Highly competitive and nationally watched Long Island Area Congressional race seeking Field Organizers to implement aggressive field program. Field Organizers will be responsible for recruiting, training, and developing volunteers to lead efforts aimed at persuading and turning out voters.

Field Organizers will gain invaluable experience on the ground working closely with Field Director. They will develop key skills in leadership, organization, and most importantly community organizing. Applicants should be committed to Democratic values and be willing to put in the necessary work to win.

Responsibilities

-       Recruit, train, and manage volunteers to implement the Campaign Field Plan

-       Develop and maintain relationships with community leaders and volunteers

-       Empower volunteers to develop into leadership roles within the program

-       Conduct outreach to community groups to increase size and scope of program

-       Lead voter contact and field efforts in assigned region

Qualification

-       Strong interpersonal and communication skills, the ability to meet tight and competing deadlines, and the ability to manage many tasks simultaneously

-       Working knowledge of political campaign structure and familiarity with campaign technology

-       Ability to work long and irregular hours, including nights and weekends

-       Good sense of humor and ability to adapt to a fast paced, changing work environment

-       Previous campaign experience is preferred, but not required

- Bilingual is a plus
