MomsRising/MamásconPoder: Pennsylvania Bilingual Organizer – LatinxVotan Campaign (Contract Position - must be located in PA)

This is a part-time contract position for a bilingual organizer. Work online and in the field, up to 20 hours/week. $22-25/hr. Must be located in Pennsylvania and able to travel around the state occasionally. Work to begin ASAP and continue until November 6, 2020.

 

Summary:
Support the Pennsylvania State Mom Force's director to run LatinxVotan, a non-partisan voter registration and get-out-the-vote campaign across Pennsylvania in 2020.

You are fluent in Spanish and have a strong grasp of organizing in immigrant communities. You’re an organizer who uses digital tools to integrate field and online strategy.

Prior campaign experience is preferred. Personal skills are a solid work ethic, good attention to detail, and a willingness and ability to adapt and be flexible as days and weeks often vary. A sense of humor is helpful. Reliable transportation, your own laptop and cell phone are needed.

Responsibilities:

1. Lead online and possible on-the-ground events* in Pennsylvania to get people out to vote.
   *All program activities will be reasonably safe and conform to rules and guidelines issued by medical and public health experts.
2. Increase Pennsylvania Mamás Con Poder email list and phone number list.
3. Work with staff to organize actions and develop the leadership of people to share their stories with each other and publicly, with the media and online.
4. Communicate with voters across a spectrum of mediums including phone calls, texting and social media.
5. Support MomsRising’s coordination with our volunteers, partner organizations, coalitions and other spaces working to boost Latinx voter turnout.
6. Social media support for Pennsylvania Latinx Votan campaign.
7. Comprehensive reporting of final metrics will be required.
