Targeted state house race in AZ seeks Finance Director

A well known progressive leader is running for state house in Arizona and needs help reaching aggressive finance goals. This is going to be one of the top flip opportunities across the state and will have a lot of media watching it. The position is available immediately. We are looking for someone living in the area or who is willing to relocate as soon as possible.

 

A laptop and reliable transportation are required (a valid driver's license is required). 

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

 

-       - Working with the finance team, candidate, consultants and allied organizations to develop a budget and strategic plan to ensure the campaign has maximized resources.

-       - Overseeing candidate call time and staffing the candidate at fundraising events.

-       - Recruiting and managing finance committee members, host committees for events, low dollar/grassroots event planning, writing online and direct mail solicits and soliciting/tracking PAC contributions.

-       - This position reports directly to the campaign manager and candidate.

Qualifications:

•       Arizona campaign experience a plus.
•       Experience managing staff.
•       At least two cycles of experience with political campaigns.
  
•       Very strong organizational and writing skills – we’ll be reliant on you for call time and fundraising materials.
•       Comfortable with technology and software, including experience with Google Docs/VAN/Nationbuilder
