High Profile and Competitive Congressional Campaign in NY Hiring Communications Director

A highly competitive Congressional race in upstate New York is seeing to hire a dynamic and creative Communications Director to be able to drive and maintain our current momentum in the press. 

Responsibilities:

• Work with Campaign Manager and consultants to help develop and implement a focused messaging strategy
• Create and maintain good relationships with local and national press
• Draft and send press releases and set up press events
• Manage social media accounts
• Monitor daily local and national press
• Assist and direct political research for the campaign

Qualifications:

• 1-2 cycles of communications/press experience required
• Strong, creative writing and editing skills
• Ability to manage multiple different relationships with multiple types of press
• Adaptability and quick thinking
