The Sylvester Turner for Mayor Campaign is seeking full‐time operations manager applicants for a data driven volunteer field operation. Operations managers will be responsible for helping to streamline all HR and operational needs for the field program.

 

Sylvester Turner is running for a second term as Houston’s mayor. Perhaps best known for leading his city with grace and grit through the devastation of Hurricane Harvey, Mayor Turner has been in public service for more than 30 years – fighting to lift up those who depend on government the most, so that everyone in Houston and Texas can live with dignity and respect. Here is who you would be working for.

 

Houston is the 4^th largest city in the country and this election will be one of the most competitive and important races of the 2019 election cycle. The November 5^th election is nonpartisan and should no candidate earn a majority of votes, will head to a runoff election in December.

 

Responsibilities include, but may not be limited to:

·      Tracking supply inventories across multiple offices.

·      Processing supply requests.

·      Reporting and tracking new hire information.

·      Ensuring organizational systems are implemented across field offices.

 

Skills and Qualifications:

·      One cycle of campaign experience preferred.

·      Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Docs.

·      HR experience is a plus.

·      Strong communication and organizational skills.

·      A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

·      Must be self‐motivated and willing to work extremely long hours, including nights and weekends, in a fast‐paced and high‐pressure environment.
