Field Organizer

A Competitive Chicago Area Congressional campaign is seeking Field Organizers to join our team. Field Organizers will be responsible for recruiting, training, and coordinating volunteer operations for the campaign to persuade and turn out voters. Ideal candidates are hard working, self-motivated, detail-oriented individuals with an ability to hit metrics-based goals, build relationships with volunteers, and engage meaningfully with voters. 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

·       Recruiting and managing volunteers and volunteer teams

·       Training volunteers one-on-one and in group settings

·       Building and managing volunteer canvass and phone bank events

·       Persuading voters to support the candidate over the phone or during one-on-one meetings 

·       Representing the campaign at events 

·       Meeting weekly voter contact and volunteer recruitment goals

·       Keeping an up-to-date account of progress by reporting and entering data on time

·       Executing an aggressive Get Out the Vote operation in your area

 

Skills or Qualifications:

·       Strong time management and organizational skills

·       Great interpersonal skills with the ability to listen well and communicate effectively in writing and verbally

·       Enjoys working in a dynamic team environment with varied members of the general public

·       Ability to internalize measurable targets, meet strategic goals and work effectively with volunteers and local leaders

·       Ability to be a creative problem solver with a positive, can-do attitude

·       Willingness to work long hours, including nights and weekends

·       Valid driver’s license and reliable access to a vehicle
