Competitive Western New York State Senate Race seeks qualified Campaign Manager

Seeking an experienced and professional campaign manager for a Western NY State Senate race to join our team. This is a flippable, red-to-blue competitive race. The campaign manager will oversee all aspects of the campaign including day-to-day operations, staff & volunteer management, fundraising, managing the principal, managing the budget, and working with general consultants and vendors to successfully turn this seat blue.

Responsibilities:

• Implement the campaign plan to secure ballot access, acquire endorsements, win the primary, and win the general election

• Coordination and implementation of fundraising plan, including call time and donor research
  

• Take lead role in managing the candidate and implementing the campaign plan

• Manage all other campaign staff and volunteers, including field

Required qualifications:

• 2+ years of political campaign experience

• 1 year experience managing staff

• Very well organized; excellent written, verbal and presentation 

• Communications skills

• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with colleagues and outside organizations and be able to multitask without sacrificing quality of work

• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

• Ability to foster a cooperative, team-oriented work environment

Preferred qualifications:

• Demonstrated understanding of political climate and issues of Western New York

• Experience fundraising for a campaign or organization

• Proficient skills in voter management software such as NGP VAN and Votebuilder

• Proficient skills in Google Suite & MailChimp

• Experience working in and around activist organizations

Must be willing to relocate by February 15th. Supporter housing may be available for the right applicant. Competitive salary.
