Job Description: Digital Coordinator


Reporting to the Director of Communications and Public Affairs, the Digital Coordinator will be responsible for developing and executing the organization’s strategic digital communications plan.  S/he will be responsible for managing the organization’s day-to-day online digital presence and for the development and maintenance of websites, social media campaigns, and other digitally produced materials. S/he will work with a dynamic team of communications experts dedicated to the values and mission of the organization.


Key Responsibilities: 

·         - Execute tactics and activities that support the organization’s strategic communications and media plan and ensure all digital products align with the organizations brand structure;

·         - Day-to-day management of Truman social media channels and websites;

·        - Working with the Director of Communications and Public Affairs, and other senior leadership, to help define the tone and strategy governing Truman and key leaders’ use of social media;

·         - Design and develop dynamic content and maintain a consistent and innovative presence via Twitter, Facebook, and other social media outlets to keep the organization current in this changing media marketplace;

·         - Create graphics that can be shared/amplified by Truman members and partners, including editing digital images and designing page layouts

·         - Design, develop, and grow a standard email program for external audiences to support Truman programs, campaigns, and initiatives.

·         - Track and produce reports on Truman and Truman members’ social media impact;

·         - Identify potential opportunities for paid digital advertising to support Truman’s advocacy efforts and campaigns;


Requirements:

·         Minimum BS/BA degree

·         Thrives in a fast paced environment and ability to multi-task

·         Excellent writing, editing and verbal communication skills

·         Working knowledge of Adobe InDesign and Photoshop; Adobe Premier Pro is a plus

·         Personable, passionate for national security and foreign policy, innovative, entrepreneurial, and creative thinker with exceptional attention to detail

·         Has experience or interest in dynamic national security and foreign policy issues
