Davis for Congress Field Organizer

Davis for Congress is seeking is seeking a full-time Field Organizer to execute a data-driven, grassroots field program for the 2016 election. Field Organizers will be responsible for recruiting, training, and developing volunteers and will be the main point of contact for grassroots leaders.

The Field Organizer will report to the Deputy Campaign Manager and will be based in Largo, MD.

Responsibilities:
-- Execute the campaign’s field plan
-- Recruit, develop and maintain relationships with community leaders and volunteers
-- Manage, motivate and coach volunteers
-- Meet voter contact and other field plan goals and metrics
-- Oversee timely and accurate reporting of field data
-- Work with the Campaign Manager to coordinate in-district political events and organizational outreach

Qualifications/Skills needed:
-- Field experience as a Field Organizer or Intern 
-- Experience recruiting, training and coaching volunteers
-- Ability to meet deadlines and adjust the field plan as needed in conjunction with the Deputy Campaign Manager
-- Ability to execute strategic goals and work effectively with diverse groups
-- Full working knowledge of VAN/Votebuilder

-- Highly organized self-starter
-- Communication skills needed to represent the campaign at events
-- A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
