The Amy Padden for Attorney General is hiring field organizers for one of the most important and competitive races in Colorado. This race is an excellent opportunity to flip an important seat. Our candidate is progressive and experienced. We are looking for energetic, self-motivated field organizers to help further that mission and elect Amy Padden for Attorney General.
Description
Field organizers are responsible for engaging with community leaders, building volunteer bases and mobilizing voters. Candidates should be hard-working, enthusiastic and genuinely committed to driving change in their community. Prior experience not required, but any volunteer or internship experience with advocacy/political campaigns is an added bonus.
Key areas of responsibility
● Work with the Field Director to implement the field plan for voter contact activities in their
region including, but not limited to: volunteer recruitment, voter identification and GOTV efforts.
● Build an extensive and long-term volunteer infrastructure in their assigned region.
● Collaborating with volunteer leadership to successfully plan canvasses, phone banks, voter
registration events, house parties, forums and other campaign events as directed in assigned
region.
● Manage, train, and motivate volunteers to achieve daily and weekly voter contact goals and
plan objectives.
● Meeting strict weekly voter contact goals on doors and phones.
● Meeting daily reporting and data entry deadlines.
● Work with the Field Director to enhance data quality for voter contact activities.
● Participating in regular reporting conference calls.
● Staff campaign events and assist with any day-to-day tasks that may arise
Qualifications
● Exceptional communication and writing skills
● Previous electoral experience as staff, intern or volunteer preferred
● Colorado political experience preferred
● Spanish speakers a plus but not required
● Experience using VoteBuilder is preferred
● Dedication to empowering volunteers to affect change in their community
● Applicants must be highly organized and have the ability to multitask in a fast-paced campaign
environment
● Ability to work long hours including nights and weekends on a regular basis
● A true self-starter who is a detail-oriented team player
● Access to reliable transportation required
