Hiring Immediately: Field Organizer Democratic Statewide Race

 

We are hiring Field Organizers to continue to build on grassroots excitement about our candidate. This year is an exciting year for Democrats to step up and get involved. Want to make the most difference? Work to make sure our state governments are strong, and care about the people. 

 

Organizers must be registered Democrats in the state of Connecticut, or willing to register as a Democrat in Connecticut. 

 

Responsibilities:

·     Direct voter contact, door-to-door and phone canvass

·     Drafting and building neighborhood-level field plans

·     Nurturing relationships with grass tops leaders and activists

·     Recruiting, training and managing volunteers

·     Tracking and reporting progress to goal in real time

·     Self-assessing progress-to-goal and next steps

 

Required Skills and Qualities:

·     Use of voter contact programs including VAN, Nationbuilder and the like

·     Mastery of basic office programs including the Microsoft office suite, Excel and, in particular, file share programs

·     Excellent written and oral communication skills

·     Excellent time management, and task organizing skills

·     The ability to solve problems

·     The ability to self-assess

·     Self-motivation and the commitment to see a task through regardless

·     Experience with NGPVAN a plus. 

 

Job Requirements:

·     Willingness to relocate

·     The ability to travel independently

·     The ability to work extended hours
