The Chris Hinds for District 10 campaign is seeking highly motivated applicants to serve as Field Organizers for the 2019 Denver municipal election. The Field Organizer will work with the Field Director to mobilize teams of volunteers to maximize voter contact over the course of the campaign with the overall goal of successfully electing Chris Hinds to represent District 10 in Denver’s City Council.  The Field Organizer will train volunteers on best practices, develop and recruit new volunteers daily, help manage volunteer events, and be responsible for meeting weekly door and phone call requirements.

 

Responsibilities:

·         Recruit, train and manage volunteers to expand the volunteer network.

·         Manage and execute phone banks and canvasses.

·         Knock on doors and make phone calls.

·         Help create a program that reflects their organizing region.

·         Initiate orientation and training programs for volunteers.

·         Address campaign issues and concerns in a timely manner.

·         Monitor campaign activities closely in collaboration with managers to ensure campaign goals are being met.


Required Skills & Background:

·         Strong organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines.

·         Disciplined, and solutions-oriented approach to all tasks.

·         Must have access to a cellphone and computer, personal transportation is preferred.

·         Working knowledge of VAN, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word.

·         Commitment to achieving an accessible Denver for all residents.

·         Strong work ethic.

 

Compensation:

·         $15-$18/hr. depending upon experience.
