The DFL is hiring a tracker/researcher to hold Republican legislators and candidates accountable for their public statements, actions, and campaign promises. Tracking involves attending and filming public Republican events.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Contribute to research on candidates and materials used for communications;
  • Track financial filings, legislative calendars, and campaign events;
  • Record and archive opponents’ activities and statements across media platforms with an eye to defining their record;
  • Fact checking and copy-editing campaign materials; and
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

  • A reliable vehicle, car insurance, and valid driver’s license
  • Excellent research and writing skills;
  • Strong attention to detail;
  • Ability to write, edit and fact-check with precision during fast-paced periods;
  • Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively;  
  • Possess a broad knowledge of camera equipment and the ability to record and upload video;
  • Must be willing to work long, irregular hours in a fast paced environment;
  • Possess a strong political instinct and knowledge of current political events;
  • Must remain calm under pressure.
  • Previous campaign or policy experience a definite plus but not required.

Compensation:Commensurate with experience.
