A fast-paced and exciting San Jose City Council campaign is seeking a campaign coordinator to lead a robust, data-driven field program and provide fundraising support. The campaign coordinator will oversee all field operations, including building a volunteer infrastructure to carry out regular voter contact, managing the voter database to provide strategic targeting, and developing messaging that moves voters to participate in the June primary. In addition to field responsibilities, the campaign coordinator will be tasked with providing logistical support at fundraising events and other campaign-related activities.
Campaign Coordinator responsibilities:
Execute and implement an ambitious, data-driven field plan focused on identifying early supporters, persuading undecideds and running a detail-oriented GOTV program.
Recruit, train and empower a team of volunteer leaders to execute voter contact events in their communities
Meet and exceed goals for voter contact, volunteer recruitment, grassroots organizing and GOTV
Manage the campaign voter database (VAN)
Foster a culture of excellence with an emphasis on streamlining best practices according to conditions on the ground
Campaign Coordinator qualifications:
Highly organized and impeccable attention to detail
At least one cycle of campaign experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong ability to train and develop volunteer leaders
Familiarity with creating and monitoring report systems on Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel
Access to a reliable vehicle and a valid driver’s license
Comfortable with campaign hours
Passionate about people-centered, metrics-driven work.
Compensation is commensurate with experience
