Deputy Digital Director

The Deputy Digital Director assists the Colorado Senate Democratic Caucus with digital media strategy, content production, and communications support. This position reports directly to the Communications Director. This is a salaried position (legislative session only) including benefits such as health, dental, and retirement plans.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Produce digital media content for our caucus & caucus members’ digital media platforms. Heavy emphasis on graphic design and video

  • Review articles, research papers, and data from our policy team for potential content opportunities

  • Publish website pages and blog posts (WordPress platform)

  • Assist with social media strategy and scheduling on platforms including Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram

  • Assist with training of caucus staff in digital media and content production best practices

  • Assist with additional communications support tasks (writing, light press work, etc.) as assigned

 

Requirements:

  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud Softwares including Photoshop, Illustrator, and Premiere Pro

  • Knowledge of social media use for organizations and businesses

  • Strong research and writing skills

  • Proficient in blogging platforms & basic html (additional web design & development experience strongly preferred)

  • College degree is not required. If you have a strong portfolio and good instincts, we want to hear from you!

  • Strong interest in State-level and/or Colorado politics 

  • Must be willing to work out of Colorado State Capitol in Denver
