Now hiring a Field Director for the Audrey Denney for Congress Campaign in California’s 1st District. (December 2019 – November 2020) 

The Field Director will be responsible for creating and implementing a comprehensive field and GOTV plan, as well as recruiting, training, and managing volunteers. The Field Director will manage and execute daily voter contact events such as canvassing, phone and text banking, as well as data management. The Field Director should be a strong communicator, organized, outgoing, enthusiastic, and willing to work long and irregular hours, including weekends. 

Responsibilities: 
  • Ability to write and implement a comprehensive, data-driven field plan across a large, 11 county congressional district. 
  • Build and manage a field leadership team to execute field plan across multiple regional offices. 
  • Set, meet, and exceed benchmarks for voter contact, volunteer recruitment, grassroots. engagement, and GOTV. 
  • Design and standardize best practices for data management using the campaign’s voter file software. 
  • Recruit, train, and manage volunteers. 
  • Manage and execute daily voter contact events such as canvasses, phone and text banks. 
  • Communicate and partner with other campaigns, county committees, and local organizations to maximize field efforts. 

Qualifications
  • Previous campaign field director experience. 
  • Exceptionally organized with the ability to meet strict deadlines and many demands at once. 
  • Experience managing and training volunteers and/or interns. 
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. 
  • Drivers license for travel across long distances of a large congressional district. 
  • A positive and team-oriented attitude with a desire to serve others and make a positive difference in the world. 
  • Excellent time management skills. 
  • Daily management of accurate data entry and experience with creating canvassing turfs (VAN/PDI experience preferred). Located in Chico, CA area or willingness to relocate to Chico, CA for anticipated field launch in January 2020.
