Finance Director - Texas U.S. Senate Campaign

A Democratic U.S. Senate campaign in Texas is seeking a full time Finance Director for the 2020 election. The candidate must be located in, or willing to relocate to, Dallas, Texas for the duration of the campaign.

 

Responsibilities:

• In coordination with senior leadership team, develop, implement, and manage a multi-million dollar campaign finance operation including finance committee, call-time, meetings, events, and digital fundraising
• Assist with management of finance committee
• Manage in-state and out-of-state fundraising events
• Manage fundraising call time including data capture and follow-up
• Coordinate with campaign manager and fundraising consultant on low-dollar digital/email fundraising 
• Assist with donor relationship management; ensure timely delivery of thank you notes
• Hire and supervise finance staff and interns  

 

 

Required Qualifications:

• Past finance experience in a leadership role on a federal campaign ($1 million+ raised)
• Strong written, communication, research and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of NGP and ActBlue
• Proficiency in Google Drive and Microsoft Office too
• Collaborative and thrives working in a team setting
• Ability to stay organized and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting
• Willingness to work long and irregular campaign hours
• Willingness to travel
• Access to a laptop and car

 

Preferred but Not Required:

• Previous experience in Texas politics
• Expert knowledge of NGP and ActBlue

 

Salary is commensurate with experience.
